You have just won the opportunity of a lifetime! You’re going on a space vacation. You will see Earth from a completely new perspective. The steps outlined below will ensure your journey is safe and fun.

Step 1: Training

We want you to be mentally and physically ready for your special trip. You will attend three days of training to prepare for your flight. In training, you will learn how to deal with zero gravity and the effects of traveling in a rocket at extremely high speeds. Astronauts will be available to answer any questions you have about the experience. These astronauts will be the crew for your trip. They will work together to operate the spacecraft and make sure everyone is safe.

Step 2: The flight experience

On the day of your trip, you will meet your crew in the flight tower early in the morning. After you put on your flight suit, you will board the spacecraft together, and fasten your seatbelt. Your spacecraft will be attached to another during take-off, but at about fifteen kilometers, the other spacecraft will disconnect from yours and the rocket engine will start. Then, you will fly directly up at a speed of over four thousand kilometers per hour, or three and a half times faster than the speed of sound! Your training will help you feel calm and comfortable at this speed.

Step 3: Becoming weightless

After about one minute, the pilots will turn the rocket engine off, and you will be allowed to get up and move around the spacecraft in zero gravity! While you enjoy this experience, the pilots will be sure to give you the best view of Earth a new view of your home.

Step 4: Home already?

This won’t be a very long vacation, but it will certainly be unique. You will have time to think about life from a completely new context. Then, you will return to your seat and the spacecraft will re-enter Earth’s atmosphere. It has wings so that the landing will be smooth and enjoyable.

Step 5: Reflect

When you touch ground again, we will celebrate your incredible adventure with the crew and you will receive an astronaut certificate. After the celebration, you will be free to go and tell your friends and family about your experience. Did it give you a new understanding of Earth? Did it create memories you will remember forever? Is this the future of vacations? Who knows, maybe in the future we’ll take people to the moon and back in just one day! Please be sure to share your thoughts with us after your trip: @planetrocks!
