A doctor came to school today. She taught us about health. She explained how blood moves through our bodies and how our hearts work. She also talked about how our brains work, and that it’s important to eat three meals a day. She said if we feel sick while we are at school, we should go to the school nurse. The nurse can check our temperature and find out the problem.

The doctor explained that we need to look after our own health. She told us to keep clean and take a shower or bath every day. It’s also important to wash our hands with soap before we eat. The doctor said regular exercise is very good for our health. For example, if we live close to school, we could walk there every day. Running and swimming are also good ways to stay fit. She explained that all these things help our brain, so we can study and do well at school.

Next week, a dentist is going to visit our school to talk about looking after our teeth. We will learn how to brush them properly and what to do if we get a toothache. These talks help us learn to take care of ourselves. Being healthy can help us feel happy and enjoy life.
