Last year, my mom bought tickets to see Cats at the theater. Cats is a famous musical, and it was showing in London. My mom bought four tickets: for my parents, my brother, and me. We were really excited to finally see this show. We took the train into London and had lunch out first. We ate pizza, and it was delicious. The show started at two-thirty, so we went to the theater at two o’clock. There was a long line, but it moved fast, and we were inside quickly.
We started to get excited when we saw the stage. My brother knows all the words to all the songs. He was already singing as we walked to our seats. I didn’t want to sit next to him! I was looking forward to seeing the actors come on the stage because I love the beautiful costumes. I couldn’t wait to see them dance, too.
We were sitting in our seats waiting for the show to start when another group of four people came up to us. They thought that we were sitting in their seats. We thought they were wrong. So, we all looked at our tickets. To our surprise, we had the same seat numbers. A member of the staff came and looked at all of our tickets, and she noticed one difference. Our tickets were for a different date. Our tickets were for the performance the week after! Fortunately, we were able to go back to London the next weekend to see the show. It was amazing, and we all loved it. In the end, the mistake meant we were able to spend two days in the big city.
